π³πΎββοΈ Salem's Honest Review
Let's be honest: Makadi Spa Hotel is arguably the most beautiful building in Makadi Bay. The architecture is a mix of Islamic, Indian, and English Colonial styles. It is visually stunningβdomes, arches, pools that look like lakes.
It is a pure relaxation hotel. If you want animation teams shouting "Zumba!", go to Makadi Palace next door. Here, it is about lying by the infinity pool, looking at the sea, and pure peace. The house reef right in front is one of the best accessible reefs for snorkelers without needing a boat.
π The Snorkeling is World-Class
You don't need a boat here. The coral reef starts literally steps from the beach. You will see turtles, rays, and thousands of fish. Make sure to read our Hurghada Diving & Snorkeling Guide to identify what you are seeing!
π§ The Vibe
Zen. Quiet. Romantic. It attracts an older demographic (30s to 60s) who value peace. The "no children" policy is strictly enforced.
π½οΈ Dining
It has some of the best Γ la carte options in the chain. The Shimmers restaurant (Asian) and the Steakhouse are highlights. Service is formal and polite.
π The Pools
Two massive pools. The infinity pool overlooking the Red Sea is the iconic photo spot. You will never fight for a sunbed here.
