Location, location, location. Aqua Joy is situated right in the middle of the "Mamsha" (Tourist Promenade).
This means you aren't stuck in the hotel like you might be at Garden Beach or Mamlouk Palace (which are a bit isolated). Here, you can walk out the front door and find McDonalds, KFC, hundreds of shops, bazaars, and cafes. Inside, it’s a fully equipped resort. It’s perfect for people who want to be active.
Why Stay Here?
The Promenade
You can walk safely at night for kilometers along the illuminated promenade. It’s great for getting a feel of the city atmosphere safely.
Food Options
Besides the hotel food (which is good), you have dozens of restaurants literally outside the gate. You won't get bored of eating.
Compact Aqua Park
The slides here are surprisingly fun and compact. Good for kids aged 6-14 specially. Parents can watch easily from the pool bar.

✅ The Wins
- Service: Sunrise management is tight. Staff are attentive and problems get fixed fast.
- Space: The rooms are decently sized and clean. Modern decor since the last renovation.
- Gym: It has a surprisingly good gym if you want to burn off the buffet calories.
⚠️ The Trade-off
- The Beach: The beach area is a bit small and crowded because the hotel is narrow. The water is fine, but don't expect wide open sands like at Crystal Bay.
- Noise: Being in the city center means you might hear some street noise if your room faces the road. Ask for a pool view room.
🚕 City Transport
Uber works very well from here. A ride to the Marina Boulevard takes 15 mins and costs very little.
For airport arrival, I still recommend a pre-booked transfer to avoid the "tourist trap" taxi prices at arrival.

Yes, because they can walk safely on the promenade (Mamsha) to get ice cream or shop without needing a taxi. It gives them independence.
What is the food like?
Sunrise hotels have good hygiene and variety. Expect themed nights (Egyptian, Italian, BBQ). The a la carte options are worth booking.
Does it have a house reef?
